Dataverse search in d365 and maybe how i am using it, I assume when you type in a word it brings back all say accounts with that word anywhere in the searchable fields?

If i do * in front of word i get more records back I thought dataverse search was already doing wildcard search within all quick find enabled fields for that table.

why are my numbers more when i use wildcard?

Hi una,

This is to be expected.

If you put * in front of the word, you can get all records that contain that word.

If you don't add it, it means that the record must start with that word before you can get that record.

I was talking about the search function on the top of the form not at entity level, my apologies so using Search at top of screen the multi entity search
