Jean was correct until now. We have a solution that interacts directly with RMS and allows for as many counters as you desire, all involved in the same count.

Wireless scanners that access the RMS data directly are not the best way to do inventory in RMS because you really can only be building one worksheet at a time which restricts you to one user.  I suggest batch scanners because you can have multiple people counting at the same time, then you build your inventory worksheet from the batches from those devices. You can have as many people as you want doing the counting.  We have units available for $350 that will accept your counts and validate your barcodes at the same time. Then you upload your data files to the RMS worksheet and process the physical inventory with all the data. Jean Holland jean@allpointpos.com

We are currently using the H-19 scanner from Interdyne and am looking for procedures to set the scanner up for wireless use and procedures for doing inventory from the Rms 2.0 system with the wireless system...

New West Technologies has a tool Mobile Manager that is good for doing online inventories through a wifi connected mobile device with barcode reader like the Symbol MC50, but you can just as easily use a laptop with a barcode reader and run SO Manager to do the inventory.

Be aware of problems doing multiple inventories at the same time as they use the same temp tables on the server and can interfere with each other.
