RE: Export Trial Balance to Data Lake

We've done a trial balance report that sources it's data from Data Lake tables. One of the needed tables doesn't work with the Data Lake and needs to come over via ODATA in our case (the one with legal entities on board). The rest are fine.

The gotcha is that we built a model to do our Management Accounts, including performance against budget. Then spliced a TB report using the same data model. However, for a TB, you probably only need a small subset of the tables we used - and i've not had time to whittle it down to the minimum needed. FWIW the tables in the report are:

GeneralJournalAccountEntry aka General journal account entry
    GeneralJournalEntry aka General journal entry
    Ledger aka Ledger
CompanyInfo - 401 aka Legal entities - via ODATA
    SystemParameters aka SystemParameters
    ExchangeRateEffectiveView computed from:
    ExchangeRates aka Exchange rate
    Currency aka Currency table
    FiscalCalendarPeriod aka Financial calendar period
    MainAccount aka Main Account
    DimensionAttributeValueCombination aka Dimension code combination

Note that Currency and Exchange rate together cite currency pairs against a date range and give the then current currency conversion rate on the system. Best way to sample this is to look for the first occurrence of currency pair exchange rate dated equal or greater than the applicable posting date.

Hope this helps and doesn't confuse things further. I can give you the ERD of the tables above in our model if that's useful.

    RE: Export to Data Lake

    Hi Kiran,

Since TB is a query but not a report, I doubt that it can be exported to DataLake.

Maybe you can give a try to export your TB data to DataLake with Electronic Reporting.

    Thanks,

    Alper.
