Printing Account Number is messed

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 12

Good morning all,

Client with years of activity on GP system has recently started to get the printing of the Account number on ALL reports messed up.

I have deleted the modified reports from the system - same result

I have imported into a new reports dictionary only the modified Trial Balance - same result

I have attempted to modify the trail balance again - same result

There are no posting errors, there are no reporting errors ( data that is ) and I am lost on what to do next.

I need to get this resolved as soon as possible.

I have recreated, deleted and rebuilt the Forms and Reports dictionaries.

No changes.  Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Bill, if it is the accounts are cut off or printing goofy, everything leads to the form.dic and report.dic.

I know you said you did this, but you are importing in your reports again which could damage it, we should test with none in place and see if that works, then add them back.

Typically, when we see this happen, it means one of your reports is corrupting and then causing a problem with your dictionary/ corrupts it.

Thus, it does not print out correctly.

I would rename your report.dic, do not import then see if it works, try to print a few times, etc.

If all seems to work, then import them in 1 by 1 or all at time, see what is causing the problem

If they have a form.dic I would rule that out as well, rename it so it does not come into play.

Here is a KB on how to do this if you are unfamiliar with the process.
