Hi all,
when i setup new Business rules for Fixed assets determination, an error prompt when save the record : A currency to convert from is required to retrieve exchange rate information.
Do anyone know what other settings i need to do in order to solve this error message ? thanks

Looks like its a exchange rate issue.
is HKD your base currency?
is there any other currency involved here?
you have to define the exchange rate General Ledger > Currency > Exchange rates > Select Exchange rate types > Define from and To currency exchange rate
Thanks for your information, Yes, HKD is the base currency in this legal entity.
And there is no any other currency involved in the Business rule record, but still encounter this error message and failed to create the business rule.....

Has your issue been resolved?
Please go to the path System administration > Setup > System parameters to check if the system currency and exchange rate is selected.
If selected, it is recommended to create a support ticket in LCS.
I already selected the <system currency> = HKD and <system exchange rate> = Default in "System Parameters"
but the error still prompt and still fail to create the business rule for fixed asset determination....
anyway, thanks for your information, i'll create a support ticket then.
Did you log a support request and what was the outcome? We're facing the same issue.
yes, i've issued the support ticket, and they just told me to that if setting the currency under "Legal entity-specific rule", we need to set one in "Organization-wide rule" too
after followed their instruction, the case been solved.
