ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi all,

We have created a work flow for Expense report and every thing is working fine except the place holder %workflow.link to web% . It appear when the user clicks the link from the email - it goes to the EP and approval process. The user clicks approve button and it get stuck. When the page is refreshed - the expense is approved.  However when the same expense report is opened from the EP directly - instead of opening it from email - it works fine without freezing during approval or rejection.

After discussing with the business - If there is a way to do any one of the following to the EP placeholders:

1) %workflow.link to web% - Is there a way to create or point to our own URL for this placeholder,  so when the user click - it goes to the all approval page instead of the particular expense report..

2) %Workflow.Link to approve% or %Workflow.Link to reject% - when this placeholders are placed on the work item instruction (on basic settings of approval) - is there a way to change the properties of the placeholder  - Example - it shows up as "Approve" or "Reject" on the email . Can we change it to "link" or "click here"  - The main reason for this question is we know that the approval and rejection links can be modified from System Admin ->setup -> workflow -> workflow Parameter .... and place the required URL. So placing this variable on the workflow and changing the name on how it shows up in the email would fix our issue.

Our ultimate goal is to have the user who approves click on the link and takes it to the EP approval page instead or that particular expense report.

Best regards,
