Hi All,

I am working on email notifications and I got a requirement to approve the document from mail in one click without opening the NAV client. Can anyone help me with the approach, how i need to proceed ?

Below is the sample email notification I am getting and I have highlighted the requirement in the mail template.

-----------------------------------------------

Hello XXXXXXXXXX,

You are registered to receive notifications related to CRONUS USA, Inc..
This is a message to notify you that:

Vendor 10000 requires your approval.

No. 10000

Due Date 05/02/19

Name London Postmaster

Vendor 10000

Details Created By USERID

URL/LINK to approve in one click (Click should not open any Clienttype of NAV)

Notification messages are sent automatically and cannot be replied to. But you can change when and how you receive notifications: Notification Settings (Windows Client)

-----------------------------------------------

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Murali

You can customize a codeunit for approving the document  and publish it as API . In the email-notification , provided the link to the Approval API for that document no.

I did work with an extension from a partner which was able to scan new Emails in an Exchange-Mailbox.

It was possible to send a specific command-string (system generated) to this Malibox, the extension would pick it up and approve the workflow.

It's a big development which was used for other use cases also (e.g. store email attachment at customer record).

The approach by I Gusti Made Ari Permadi seems more appropiate and easier to integrate.

    Hi Gusti,

I Created a Codeunit and by using GETURL function I am able to attach codeunit link to the email notification. But when we click URL, it open NAV client and also I am unable to pass the record filters.

Could you please help me with the solution ?

    Regards,

    Murali
