How to connect cloud production data to Power BI Report

Hi All,

I need to execute a store procedure and get data to pass it into power BI Report. The challenge is that data has to be from d365 f&o cloud production Environment . Cannot create view or data entity because of several conditions in store procedure. Please suggest me any ideas to achieve this.

HI Anoop,

Are you exporting data to data lake for creating reports? Have you looked at this option?

No. I am not exporting data to data lake. Without exporting is there any way to connect the cloud production db

No, you can't connect directly to a production database.

You either go through the application layer (e.g. a data entity), or you export data to a separate database where you define your stored procedure.

By the way, you chose a technical solution (a stored procedure) too early, before knowing whether it's a best solution or - as you see - whether it's possible at all. Therefore limiting yourself to this particular solution would be a bad idea.
