Hello,
We have some good amount of customizations on HO, While applying update to HO, on LCS it's taking lot of time in Pre-Servicing.
Is there a way to cut down this time?
Any best practices on how to cut down the deployment time.
Appreciate any tips.
Best Regards,
Hi MYGz,
I'm not able to understand your abbreviation "HO". Anyway... there is no setting to reduce this time on LCS. If it is impacting your business, you can try to contact Microsoft Support.
Hello Andre,
By HO I meant Head Office, probably took this from LS retail. In D365 commerce it should be HQ.
What I have noticed is that earlier in other implementations it would very quickly go into servicing status as the update is applied. Now it takes lot of time in pre-servicing mode. The environment is also accessible in pre-servicing mode.
But what I have also noticed is if we keep using environment in pre-servicing mode the deployment time goes up by around 50min-1hr (total around 1hr 50 mins) as opposed to if you don't do anything when update is applied, then it completes in 1hr.
You can read more about the pre-servicing and post-servicing on this page: Pre-servicing and post-servicing - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs
Building and synching the custom models before creating the Deployment package should help you reduce the time for Pre-Servicing and deploying time
