How can I import data from Excel to a CRM marketing list without having to much duplicates

Hello all!

Im a working student in a CRM-Team of a bigger Consulting agency based in Germany.

Ive got some issues with importing an excel sheet to CRM in a marketing list. 

Are there any possibilites to do that fast, clean and without creating any duplicates in our CRM customer data base?

    What issues are you facing? If it's duplicates, make sure there are no duplicate contacts in your spreadsheet or create a duplicate detection rule.

    first. thanks for your quick reaction:

    Unfortunately, thats exactly the problem youre talking about.

    We have all these contacts in our data base, already. The Excelsheet I want to import was created on another system we are using. 
    Is there any possibility to avoid creating duplicates or erasing them fast and clean?

    Hi Michael,

    as far as i know it's not possible to import a marketing list directly.

    You can download an import template for contacts, import them and add these contacts to a marketing list.

    Hi Michael, just create a duplicate detection rule. Settings>Data Management>Duplicate Detection Rules.
