Best practice? There are a lot of things, but currently I would say selecting a vendor with Business Central/NAV experience. Business Central is a great system and has seen a huge amount of growth. For this reason, they are a lot of new vendors/partners that are just getting started and don't really have a lot of experience/knowledge. For example, companies that used to only deal with CRM are starting to implement Business Central. While these companies have been great in their other domain, it takes time to really learn Business Central and all its nuances to more than basic superficial knowledge.
