With D365 Retail is it possible to take the customer order at POS and at the same time a notification would go to the store room system so they would start preparing the order? Just like Ordering system at fast food ?
The easiest way is to configure Printer 2 in Hardware profile - then Printer 2 can stay in the store room system, print sales receipt as soon as you finish transaction.
You can also use Retail notifications - if order is marked for pickup, POS will display 'fulfillment notification' within notification refresh interval
Suggest use store order fulfillment for this.

I think the printer one seems more appropriate for our customer. Because I believe the fulfillment notification will show notification only inside the POS if Im not mistaken.
However with printer how do we generate multiple sales receipt simultaneously for an order? Because they would require one at the front desk and one in store room?
Hardware profile supports 2 printers, so it is done like this
1) Front desk printer - Printer 1
2) In store room - Printer 2
3) Assign the same receipt profile for both printers
When POS on front desk finishes sales, it will send receipts for both printers. This is 'restaurant style' of setup - when you need to send order to kitchen :)

I have configured order fulfillment operation. And I can see the orders in order fulfillment screen every time I create a customer order and select ship all products. However I am still not able to see notifications for these orders on POS. I am following the below doc. Any ideas?
