We have two opportunity forms and they both have a different calculated profit field as they are calculated differently.
I want to add a third field onto each form to show the total profit from both forms.
Is it possible to add up the two calculated fields from two separate forms into a third field that would display on both forms?
Please see screenshots below;
This is what I tried for the Total Profit field;
Many thanks in advance
Calculated fields work entity wise not form related. Your scenario above should work fine. Do you face any issue?
Thank you for your reply.
That's what I though but for some reason the calculation doesn't work for me.
As you can see in the screenshots in my original post, the 'Estimated Mobile Profit' is £8 and the 'Estimated Profit' is £86.40 however, for some reason the total doesn't come up next to 'Total Profit'.
Do I need to have a condition in the calculated field?
You don't have to give a condition.
In your formula, it sums Estimated Fixed Line Profit and Estimated Profit. In the screenshots, it is Estimated Mobile Profit and Estimated Profit. Are they correct fields? All of them are calculated fields? or some of them are rollup fields?
Looks like I got confused with my inability to name things correctly... I had the wrong thing chosen in the equation.
Thanks for your help.
Another thing that I just came across is that if all the number fields aren't filled out on both forms then the 'Total profit' field will not get calculated.
I have created a business rule within the opportunity entity to auto-populate the required fields, please see below;
this works so when I open a new opportunity all the fields are set to 0 however, when i click save, the values on the other form get removed and the 'Total Profit' is not displayed. Is there anyway to keep the values on the other form set to 0 when I save the other form?
It happens because of Null value.
Here is the same question that they had discussion about;
So I have the following business rule setup;
Topic contains data
Please change the business rule's scope to "entity".
Thank you very much Erhan
