I need to know if Microsoft have the possitbility to give a GUID - as one ID that shows both Date of birth and Business unit in the same URL
I also wonder if you can help me with this following questions:
1. Can Dynamics create ID per customer(date of birth/personnumber) + business unit /bank relationship
2. Can Dynamics post id to Java - ms
3. Can Dynamics use ID in URL?
Could you share more details about your business requirement?
In Dynamics, each record will has a unique GUID, you can find it in browser address bar when viewing a specific record;
however, this number is generated randomly, so it couldn't be used to store useful information.
1. Once a record has been created, its GUID can't be changed, but you can get this value by custom workflow activity,
or just use this free 3rd-party tool without coding.
2. Would you like to connect your Dynamics environment with Java?
If so, you should work with Dynamics Web API.(an interface to help developer to connect Dynamics environment with different programming languages.)
Firstly register an Azure Active Directory Application:
then use generated client id to create request for identity verification with ada4j library, here is a tutorial about connecting Dynamics with Java:
or you could take official introduction about the library as reference:
3. The ID will display in address bar when viewing a specific record, we couldn't pass our own parameters to URL,
but you can pass ID to custom web resources.
