Within a Form, I'm trying to identify a Dynamics user with my company database using the Xrm object's data.
Only thing I see from the doc, is that I can only get user id or name. Is there any way to get the current user's email?
Why would you need to get it that way?
I'm obvious no coder, but to what end would it serve to get the email through that?
The email is located in the UserInfoTable or on the associated persons contact information.
@vincentperes Can you tell us more about what do you want to achieve? You marked question as operations and refer to CRM, so what we are talking about here ?
@Fredrik I think it's CRM related question, it's so confusing to have questions from 2 different systems in one forum...
I'm working with Dynamics 365, I embed an iframe within the Form and need to check data associated with that user.
We identify them with email. I can't find reference of UserInfoTable, can you point me to the doc?
@ievgen: It does appear so... However... It is tagged Operations, so I'll assume we are all wrong.
@Vincent: So which is it? What D365 application are you looking to work on?
Sorry tag is wrong...
I work with Dynamics 365 as I mentioned above :)
Yes. Dynamics 365 encompass three distinct platforms. CRM (Sales, field services ++++), Project Madeira (Finance) and AX (Operations).
You can not just say D365... The application platforms are very different from each other.
Sorry, looks like I'm learning new terms here :)
I'm working with Sales then, that's the app I'm selecting when I'm within Dynamics. I have added a Web Resource to the default Account Form and I'm trying to reach user data from there. I can get the user unique id and organisation id, I was wondering if there is a way to get user email as well.
