My company (manufacturing) is planning on implementing MS Dynamics 365 Enterprise. I presume that the Templates used for data migration are downloaded into Excels. Can someone please send me the template files - all of them? I do not have the ability to download them myself because we don't yet have the data management workspace. I'm going to be the one who is responsible for migrating the data and the sooner I can get a look at the templates and data requirements the better.
Templates can slightly vary by implementation, MS can add fields/changes entity to fix issues, enhance them on regular basis. Suggest that you download them from your environment when you do get access to Data Management workspace. If you just want to see how the template looks like, please see screenshot below. The best place would be to get the access to environment and then pull them from there.

I understand, but by the time we get access to Data Management Workspace then my back will be up against an arbitrary deadline in a project plan. The whole idea is to get a look at the requirements so I can make an educated guess at how long it will actually take me and note any areas which will be problematic, as early on in the project planning as possible. I can guarantee that significant amounts of data will have to be modified, appended to records or conjured up. So the more time I have, the better.
Agree and understood. Best possible solution would be to spin up a new environment. If that's not possible at this point due to any reason, try to download VHD from LCS and use that instead to get ahead of the deadlines. If you can't do that either, then try to download the technical report (it provide details on all entities available and what fields are available but it's difficult to work with). link below:
