I just found on our customer's environments, the model lists are different. The build server and some local Dev VM (VHD downloaded from LCS) are full list of models (e.g. including ApplicationPlatformFormAdaptor and ATLApplicationSuite etc.), but in Tier 2 environments, these models are missing. Is this normal? And can we specify what models we need when we deploy the environments from LCS?
It seems like there are more models in Build/Dev environment compared to Tier 2 Test environment.
Yes these packages contain code you use for creating automated tests. You don't want test code in your sandbox/prod so you're correct those packages are not available there.
