By request from our development team, I activated the Dynamics 365 Guides trial for our organization.
I have assigend the licenses to the developers and to myself, created a Database in our Default Environment and wanted to add the Guides application - as is described here: Create a Microsoft Dataverse environment and install the Dynamics 365 Guides solution as part of the setup process - Dynamics 365 Mixed Reality | Microsoft Docs
It has been 5 hours now and the Dynamics 365 Guides App still doesn't appear as an option:
I have tried with different users, all given a Guides-License, but it didn't work.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Do you also have the System Administrator role? And when you created to DB did you enable D365 apps? If you have all the required pieces in place and it still isn't showing up it is likely an issue with he app sync process that enables the apps. Sometimes there is a longer delay in this process, and if the sync is stuck it may need to be triggered manually. I would give it 24 hours hours and if it doesn't show up you may need to reach out to support for help - unfortunately.
Thank you for your answer. I believe I do indeed have the System Administrator role since I am a Global Administrator for the whole Office 365 Tenant.
Is there a way to check if D365 apps were enabled when creating the DB? Unfortunately a former employee did create this DB before he left and we have found no trace of any documentation...
I guess I will wait some more and then - if still necessary - contact the support.
Thanks again :-)
Actually, from your previous screenshot it does look like D365 apps are enabled. You should be able to confirm by selecting the environment in the portal and looking at the items in the 'Resources' section. You should see Dynamics 365 apps listed.
If Monday rolls around and it's not there you may need to open a support case. Good luck!
The apps are indeed listed there.
So I will wait for Monday and open a case otherwise. Thanks for your support.
If this does not get resolved ASAP please direct message me with the the environment URL and tenant ID and we'll take a look.
