I'm new to Dynamics 365 and I'm trying to see how the users, when they are booked or assigned to a task in a project, can easily see what to work one every morning. Is there any dashboard or view that can regroup relevant information for an end user, like what task to work on, on which project, what is the allocated time and progress of the task,...
I would like to find something ready to use, out of the box, instead of creating a new view, or a power app...
Thanks for your help!
Well, PSA is a tool which can be easily customized. So, from the Sitemap Designer you can add the Tasks entity to the navigation, so that each user can see & access easily the his/her personal tasks as a view.
You can also create a Dashboard that includes the tile Tasks, Bookings an other "work-related" records and set it as default dashboard.
Additionally, if you want to notify users via e-mail when being assigned to a task - check in Processes the workflow named "Project Service - Project Team Member Resource Assign" . In PSA v2 it sent automatically e-mails to new resources when being assigned to a project (added as a team member). However, this workflows got deprecated with v3, but you can create a similar notification, preferably via Power Automate by your own.
Hey Pierre-Marc, are they using the MyProject app? You just need to setup a system view and then do one of two things. 1) add Project Tasks to the MyProject sitemap. 2) create a new dashboard using the Project Task entity. Here is the view you want to create:
