In Unified Interface, recent records are shown when you click on a lookup field. On a form, this functionality can be disabled by deselecting an option in field properties. How do I disable this functionality on a lookup field on a business process flow?
I tested it in my environment, the lookup field on BPF can also disable recent records.
Here are the test steps:
In the Opportunity form, there is an Account field under the Summary tab and an Account field on the BPF, both of which are lookup fields with recent records.
When I modify the properties of the Account field under the Summary tab (check "Disable most recently used items for this field"), it disables the recent record.
At the same time, the Account field on the BPF also disables the most recent record.
Then, I removed the Account field under the Summary tab, and the Account field on the BPF still has no recent records.
Therefore, we can conclude that if the same lookup field exists in the BPF and the form, then the field properties in the form are set, and the fields on the BPF will have the same change.
So if you want to disable the Recent Records of the lookup field in the BPF, you need to have the same lookup field in the form, first disable the Recent Records of the fields in the form.
Hope this helps.

You were right, thanks! It turns out something was just wonky with our environment, and after a refresh from Prod it was working as intended.
Hi,This solution does not work for me, unfortunately. It does work on the form but not in the BPF. Do you have an idea why?Kr,Shanice
The above solution is no longer applicable to the latest version of D365.
There is currently no OOTB way to disable the recent records for a lookup field in BPF.
Thanks for your reply. Do you might know the non ootb solution for this?
