I created unified interface (entity Account).
I created new Account, and in the top of the form I've got a panel:
How can I create my own custom menu for this entity or maybe can I update existed menu by adding custom element there ?
I created Unified Interface App for entity Account (see please picture below):
Please help me to change that panel (or ribbon) - I want to add custom elements there.
How can I do that?
Ribbon Workbench is the way to go - ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com
Good luck and have fun!
I think you are wrong - In Ribbon Workbench I've got only WEB-ribbons, but not ribbons, used in Dynamics Unified Interface.
I'm sorry, but how can i find and edit/change that ribbons?
I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. Ribbon is the same for WebClient and UCI.
Thank you for your help!!!
Maybe i do something wrong?
Take a look on the picture:
On the picture my RibbonWorkbench and Dynamics 65 opened in Chrome.
I try to FIND menu from Dynamics 365 entity record in ribbon's menu list. But I can't find it there :(
Am I doing right?Or maybe I doing something wrong?
1. It will not look exactly the same and this is a bit confusing.
2. Use "Command Bar" representation option.
3. You're showing "Account" toolbar inside screenshot but you opened "ApplicationRibbon" instead. Add account to solution and open it using Ribbon Workbench.
Thank you for tour answer!
But I have only "ApplicationRibbon" in dropbox!
I suggest, I change only 1 ribbon or menu, and in each entity in Unified Interface I can see that changes, not only in Account! And Contact, and Opportunity etc.How can I do that?
That should I do?
I have to find other menu in Ribbon Workbench?
As I mentioned in my previous reply - add account entity to solution that you work with and reopen solution using Ribbon Workbench.
I'm sorry for my stupid question, but I don't understand - in my Dynamics 365 account only 1 solution has Ribbons (it was open in pictures before).
How can I add Account (natural Dynamics 365 entity) to my custom solution, which was open and contains only Application Ribbon?
Can you help me with it?
Sure, here is what you should do:
1. Open your solution (not in Ribbon Workbench - just inside CRM). You can check this as an example - https://ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/71374-1-getting-started-with-the-ribbon-workbench#Creating_an_loading_a_solution_into_the_Ribbon_Workbench
2. Expand "Entities".
3. Click "Add Existing" and choose "Account".
A did it, but in the account's ribbons there are no such elements, like in interface:
I didn't found there:(
How can I find this panel? (on the screen)?Thank you!
Again, it could look a bit differently. As you mentioned you want to add your menu to command bar so I would recommend you instead of comparing layouts just start adding your items and see the result. I'm afraid I can't help you more and I gave you all the pointers I was able.
I believe what you are trying to do is make a change to the sitmap, you have to add a SubArea
You should now see your changes
