A few days ago, I noticed my workflows could not run anymore because I was using too much resources.
I finally undestood the reason : several workflows were being triggered all the time. These workflows, concerning the contacts, are triggered because the field "name of the company" is modified all the time.
This field is being modified all the time by the system task: "Update of 'Org Change Status' for contact"
Do you have any idea what it is?
Here is a screenshot of the System Tasks list and another one from the modification history of a contact (the name are hidden for privacy reasons).

I am having the same issue where Contact Address gets updated with blank values.
There is a System event, job name Update of 'Org Change Status' for contact
which is updating these values

No, my issue is not resolved. A ticket has been opened with Microsoft a couple of days ago, I am still waiting for their answer.
I have raised a ticket with Microsoft as well. This is a known issue with no work around at the moment.
My issue is with Microsoft.Dynamics.LinkedInExtensions.Plugins.PostOperationContactUpdateAsync
I am considering disabling the Plugin or removing the solution.
To remove the LinkedIn solution I need to remove (dependencies) the integration objects from my custom solution, a bit more involved when we may need to reinstall the linked in sales navigator later this year. I am trying to avoid this step.
The support answered.
They suggested to disable the plug-in. This is what they told us :
"From more investigation, to resolve this issue, kindly perform the following actions;
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Customizations
3. Click on Customize the System
4. Click on Sdk Message Processing Steps
5. Click on the Filter
6. Click the arrow on Primary Object Type Code (SdkMessage Filter)
7. Select Contact and click OK
8. Find Update of 'Org Change Status' for contact plug-in and de-activate
9. Save and Publish All Customizations
Kindly let me know if this fixes the issue."
The plug-in has now been disabled and everything seems to be working...
I don't really know what the plug-in was doing exactly, and why it existed.
Thank you for sharing, I performed these actions but nothing changed. The Address fields on contact record still got updated to blank values, I also noted there was no registered event in system jobs and no trace related to this update.
I then proceeded to use the Plugin registration tool and Unregistered (delete) the update step (Update of 'Org Change Status' for contact).
Now this step is not present in Default solution but the behaviour is still the same as mentioned above.
Lastly it is impacting some contacts, not all and I don't know what value is linking contact to LinkedIn plugin.
Same probleme here, the system event disappeared but the updates are still running. Microsoft is working on it...
Update the fields, then change the record owner should help.
Microsoft team helped me a lot in last two days and what I understand is what David has written above. They are still working on it.
A work around
1. Please try what David suggested. Update the address fields on Contact record and then save the record and the update the Owner to a different owner and save and if you like you can reverse the owner back (change owner once more) and you will find the plugin does not fires and hence no update of the address fields.
2. You can also try updating the address fields with the correct address and save and followed by a dummy address of least values. You will find the plugin will fire and update the correct address. (It will over write the dummy address)
Let us know if it works.
