I think this might be the wrong term. Campaign seems to be tied to marketing. I want to be able to tie all applicable activities and opportunities to a particular sales campaign (initiative)
You can link opportunities to the campaign entity via the Source Campaign field on the opportunity. However, I'd recommend that you link activities to the opportunity entity, rather than the campaign entity, as users would typically be working more in the opportunity entity
You can tie activities to campaigns out of the box. You might need to create a custom lookup field on the opportunity for campaigns and you can associate an opportunity to a single campaign.
