we're shortly beforer going to Dynamics 365 for Sales, already using Dynamics NAV, but no CRM system.
At the moment, we do a intense use of Google MyMaps Tool to locate our customers, leads an target leads on a clear overview, for each sales rep in his area. This tool also provides route planning for the "customers".
I didn't find a comparable solution for the integrated Bing Maps. Does anyone know, how to use or integrate MyMaps into 365 for Sales? We don't hope to be the only with a problem like this .)
How would you present My Maps in D365 Sales? By simply show its web page in entity form or embed full map in form?
If you only need a simple web page presentation, just add it into form as a web resource.
If you want to embed map in form for deep integration,
(for example: there are longitude and latitude fields in lead form, you want to have a geolocation of this lead on map with these data)
then we need APIs from My Maps to manipulate data.
Currently I only found tutorial about integration with Google Maps and what I could do in D365 is simple presentation.
In addition, could you share me more details about your requirement of clear overview and sales rep?
To integrate Google Maps you need to add HTML web resource on account and contact forms. Refer the following for step by step integration.
