ive setup an auto email to be sent to our sales team when an opportunity closes as won or lost. I created this using the workflow process. They love to get these emails as it creates good competition and banter between the team.
What I am looking to add to my lost email sends is the "Opportinuty Close Information" When the sales person closes an Opp as won or Lost a new pop up screen appears. I know this screen isnt customizable at the moment (is that still the case by the way) but contains the info of Actual Rev, Closed Date, Competitor and Description why we won or lost it. Below is a screenshot.
Is there a way to add these fields to my email close email? I think this info sits within the Activity section but when I go to create a new workflow for this Activity is not an option to choose from.
My thinking of doing it this way was to create the email based on activity and pull in the detail of the opp using the related fields.

Unfortunately, the Opportunity Close Activity entity is not available in workflow. So you will have to look at other approaches to achieve the same. There are different ways to achieve your requirement and i will list some of them.
1. You can create some of the fields you need for reporting on the opportunity entity and then you have to write a plugin (code) on opportunity close activity to copy the data to the new fields you created in opportunity. Then you can use the data directly from opportunity form in your email workflow. The downside to this is replication of information and coding to achieve the requirement.
2. Similarly, you can create a custom workflow activity (code) and try to fetch the opportunity close data (I am not 100% sure if this entity is exposed via code). You can create the email also directly in the custom workflow.
3. If you are on Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud, you can use Microsoft flow to trigger an event on Opportunity Close activity and send an email. This is a no code approach and most suited approach if you have flow licenses available.

The reason you can't do it is because one opportunity can have multiple opportunity close records (1:N relationship) and that's because we can 'reopen' an opportunity.

Alternative 1 for you:
You already have two fields on opportunity form 'Actual Close Date' and 'Actual Revenue'
Create a competitor lookup on opportunity form (Your sales team will have to fill it before close as lost)
Create a 'Lost Description' on opportunity form (Your sales team will have to fill it before close as lost)
Now create your email workflow.
