I have a User with a specific email address and the mailbox is set up and everything works fine.
But I saw that the User had the exact display name as a Team, but just a different email address. Is it possible to change the email address on the user to the Teams queue email address? Is it possible to use the Team Queue, and relate my user to that Team queue instead with the same emailadress?
Thanks in advance!
Private queues: Create private queues with limited set of members to help those members easily view the queue items in that queue. Private queues streamline queue items for the members of that queue only and help to remove clutter from other user’s views.
Public queues: Create public queues to let everyone in the organization view the queue and all the items it contains.
Thanks for the info,
But for example, i have a User with a mailbox and a queue related to it. Could i change the Queue on the User, to a Teams Queue which is a public queue on the User? Will that send emails to the Teams queue when people are sending it to the user, or isn't this possible? thanls.
Dynamics 365 identifies to whom the email is sent to (email party using the email address) and then it will allocate the queue.
If you have more than one queue with the same email (incoming email) it will not be able to identify which queue to deliver the email into.
If there is queue with unique email address (email approved, mail box set up successful), this should work just fine. Otherwise it may not.
