I am wondering if it is possible to set up a rule so that when an opportunities estimated close date changes 5 times, it will send me an email.
Thank you in advance
1. Please create a whole number field in opportunity "Counter"
2. Create a workflow.
3. On update of "Estimated Close Date", check if "Counter" has a value. If counter have value, increment it by 1. If counter doesn't have value, set counter = 1
4. Check if counter = 5. If yes, send email. Else stop the workflow.
Thank you for your help. I am working on this now.
Thanks for this detail. I am understanding the concept of this workflow but I think I am missing a step or 2 when creating this. Do I need to have a "Check Condition" in place for this. It would be super helpful if you give some more detail on this so I can build this out. Thanks for your time on this.
I got this working and its bloody fantastic. Exactly what I needed. Thanks for explaining this to me and for your detailed response, i just needed to focus on it and get it worked out in my own head.
Looks to be working perfectly. Thanks again.
