Is it possible to create a lead even if the contact already exist in D365? My understanding there are 2 types of contacts.
1. Contact is a current customer
2.Contact is not a customer because when qualified into an opportunity he became a contact
The challenge lies around when a Marketo form is submitted and if contact already exist I have no way to alert the sales team from CRM. Just an email alert from Marketo.
Yes, you can create a lead even if the contact exists. Once the lead is created, user can find the existing contact and map it to the lead which will ensure that the same contact is mapped upon qualification.

How do you enable lead creation even if a contact already exists?
Dynamics 365 wouldn't restrict you to create a lead record if contact already exists.
By default, you can successfully create and qualify Lead even if you have the same contact.
Creating and qualifying Lead does not detect contacts.
If you have the same contact, you can select Existing Contact as this contact on the Qualify stage of Lead BPF.
Thank you guys I get that we can create a manual entry in Dynamics even if the lead already exists. What I am asking if when a Marketo form is submitted and if the person who submits the form is already a contact is does not create a new lead.
