I´m storing documents in Sharepoint and using the standard integration with Dynamics Sales to be able to see the documents on the Opportunity entity in Dynamics Sales.
I´m trying to find a way to select documents (either one, a few or all) from the subgrid on Opportunity, then press a ribbon button which triggers an export to a external One Drive.
What is the easiest way to achieve this? How can I detect which documents the user has selected?
I found a similar question. Is this helpful?
@Yoshika Suzuki Thanks! But the link you send was wrong...
Yes, it´s possible,
One way: You can create an DYN365 custom action to have your button
And use Power automate to call this action and preform the automation that you want
How are yor PA Knowledge? Because it´s not simple
"to have your button" - you mean to check which documents are selected?
One way is to go to document location, this will open the SharePoint site. You can then run the PowerAutomate flow on the selected record.
However to run it inside D365 using button doesn't seem feasible as the select record provides only limited actions like Edit, Delete,Check-in, Check out. Discard check out, Edit properties.
The other way I can think of is to have a power automate run on property change of the file. So the user can select the record, go to update the property, and put in a predefined text in the title and that will trigger the PA flow.
"Button" - You need an interface to the users in CRM, in this case in subgrid of "documents"
Let´s supose we can add a new field to entity sharepoint locations - this field will be the trigger to ativate the PA.
In this way you will configure an editable subrid in the form that you want.... I don´t see a better way.
When this field change the PA starts
