I am new to the group and look forward to learnign and helping as much as possble.
I am currently in the middle of an On-Premise prodcution environment 9.0 upgrade from version 8.2. The CRM install went smoothly but a have gotten in a bit of a snag on the SharePoint integration. I used the SharePoint Wizard and that configured and validated just fine.
Then i went to Document Management and configured that correctly.
When i went to my test account, to add a document i got a 401 error.
My test users account is added to the members permissions group in AD, It has the SharePoint email asme as the CRM Email...
Am i missing something?
Check on this official documentation about permissions that your user needs to have on SharePoint folders, libraries and related to can use SharePoint Integration: docs.microsoft.com/.../permissions-required-document-management-tasks
Let me know if something else is needed.
Failed authorization or 401 unauthorized error
This failure can occur when the claims-based authentication types do not match. For example, in a hybrid deployment such as customer engagement apps to SharePoint on-premises, when you use the default claims-based authentication mapping, the Microsoft account email address used by the user must match the SharePoint user’s Work email.
The solution turned out to be entering the user’s email address on the System User form.
401 Unauthorized Error When Accessing SharePoint Document Folder - NextLevel Business Systems
By default, the SharePoint Email Address field is not exposed on the System User main form. You will have to customize the form to expose the field, and then you can populate it.
And you can also refer following thread provides the same error, it has been solved by starting User Profile Sync service.

FYI if anyone is experiencing this problem, what fixed it for us was to first download the latest language and core patches for SharePoint and latest CRM Patches. There were bugs that were fixed in the history of both software's that fixed the problems.
Our previous version of CRM was 184.108.40.206 which was the very first issue, we updated to 9.0.30.xx and it worked instantly.
