Hi,

I am currently learning the master planning / MRP process and have been looking for setup and process flow links and material but have not found a complete document or video on the same. I have found info in bits and pieces online but nothing that explains the complete process flow as such.

Please help me with any documentation and/or videos on detailed setup and process flow understanding of master planning / MRP in AX 2012 R3.

Immediate help and guidance is much appreciated.

Thank you,

Neeta

Its a big topic - try Scott Hamilton;s books.

This eBec blog series gives a basic understanding:

Master Planning Unplugged – Volume 5 – Scheduling Basics

Master Planning Unplugged, Volume 4: Safety Stock

Master Planning Unplugged, Volume 3: Reducing the Noise

Master Planning Unplugged, Volume 2: Coverage and Item planning

Microsoft Dynamics AX Master Planning Unplugged, Volume 1: Static and Dynamic Plans

start here:

One of the better resources is the Monster Bike case study from the older Dynamics Ax v 3/4 training manuals.
