We use AX 2012 R2 CU6, created a simple custom service and deployed it successfully. When I try to consume it from a .net web application externally (AOS and .net web application running in different domain) it gives me "Failed to logon to Microsoft Dynamics AX." But when I tried to use query service and invoked executestaticquery operation with same credentials that I used during custom service invocation it worked gracefully. Next I tried to invoke the operation of my custom service with the same credential, this time it worked out. I did not get failed to logon error. To this further I restarted the AOS service and tried to execute .net web application and ended up with failed to log on. Then I repeated the same step of invoking query service first then custom service and it worked perfectly. I am passing callcontext as null while invoking.
Help me to understand the scenario.
Try to refresh the WCF configuration in AX client configuration utility and check.
Does your custom servisse created na Appication Pool into the IIS of your Server?
Thanks for your suggestion Rudra but it did not work for me. First I refreshed the WCF configuration it did not work and later I restarted AOS service and then refreshed but no result.
Hi Francisco !
No, it is not on application pool in IIS.
