My table has PartyId field. It shows all parties i.e. worker, vendor, customers on a Form.
I want to show only Worker in that lookup. please help. Thanks.
Well, what options are you OK with?
Would you want to change that field EDT to one like HCMApprover?
(See a similar thread here: community.dynamics.com/.../142128.aspx)
Otherwise, consider creating a custom lookup. But based on your requirements I would seriously consider if the field should in fact be a Party to start with.
i didn't want to touch the column data type and also a lookup. becoz it is meant for many other features as well.
I just want to filter it on workers only. internally it should save PartyRecId of the worker.
you need to add relation of type fixed Field
identify the field in DIRPartyTable which identifies the Worker and create the relation
Please verify if this helps let me know if you need more help
In lookupreference method of Datasource field 'Party', it was using below stuff.
_common = DirUtility::namelookup(_formReferenceControl, mytablename);
I modified it a bit. Added a third parameter which filters Parties by Person.
_common = DirUtility::namelookup(_formReferenceControl, mytablename ,DirPartyType::Person);
