I have the following situation. I have a trial balance that shows 12 months period-to-date data for the P&L and the closing balance for the month. There is a final column that is the year-to-date, which is the sum of the P&L and the closing balance of the last available.
The problem is as follows. To ensure the trial balance calculates to zero, for each of the periods, I need to calculate the accumulated profit up to that point. So far, so good. For the year-to-date however, this is not necessary as the P&L is the sum of all months instead of period to date.
To calculate the year-to-date, I sum the period-to-date for the P&L section and take the sum of the movements of the balance sheet. I can't take these numbers directly from DAX as we're on AX 2009 and I need to do currency conversion in Management Reporter.
So, what I need is:
For row X, do not sum over the columns, for all other rows, sum (where row X is the accumulated profit account).
Any ideas? I guess it would work if I could check the row number in the IF THEN ELSE. But I'm not aware of how to do that. Thanks for your time.
try installing Management Reporter 2012 CU13 and try to build the same report!
Thank you for the suggestion, but this is not a bug related questions. I'm looking for a way to, based on the column I am in, either include or exclude a row from a column calculation.
