I have a created Requirement coverage group and it is assign to an item with Min quantity. But when i run the master plan it is not considering Min defined quantity in plan order. Plan order is generating only for required sale order quantity. Can any one suggest the solution?
What are the full on-hand inventory details for the item including available physical, ordered and on order? Also what is the min defined for the item, bearing in mind item coverage settings (including mins) are per dimension combination such as site, warehouse, size, colour. Also make sure the Requirement coverage group hasn't been overridden in the Item Coverage form.
Thanks for reply Nigel
On hand - 100
Requirement(Plan Order) - 5946
Minimum - 1734
There is no on order or ordered quantity available and Item coverage group has not been override.
Now as i have checked it also not considering on hand inventory.
According to Microsoft the definition is as follows:
Requirement – A planned order is generated to fulfill each requirement that reduces inventory below the minimum quantity.
It doesn't state that the minimum quantity entered is seen as a requirement. It only states that if a requirement (aka a demand) is forcing inventory below the minimum value then that quantity will be re-ordered.
I haven't tested this myself but just by reading the instruction that is how it works. aa552922.aspx
If you want to replenish up to your minimum level you must choose a coverage code of Min/Max.
Give it go, that should work.
