any one plz help me to delete all financial dimension sets from dimensionfocus form..
any code to delete..?
What is the dimensionfocus form?
Can you share a screenprint please?
Why do you want to delete the existing sets and rules? Can you share more details?
thanks for reply
yes judy lee these dimensions sets are unnecessarily created and no longer to use in so, I want to delete existing sets and rules...
Have you transactions in this environment? If so, these might rely on the sets and rules. Is this a production or test environment? If it is a production environment, I would strongly recommend to not touch the tables manually with scripts. You might cripple the database easily.
Why is it that you want to delete the 'old' dimension sets?
They don't cost you extra money and don't use much extra storage.
Comparing the risks that Andre mentioned, I would rather leave the 'old' ones in the database rather than trying to clean up something that causes subsequent problems.
If you consider the risks that the other guys said , You can delete financial dimension with some steps.
First, if your dimension is active in account structure go to GL/Setup/Ledger and delete it from list of account structure.
Second, go to GL/Setup/Chart of account/Configure account structures and do in active or edit this account structure which your financial dimension use it.
Finally, now you can delete your financial dimension set.
