Installation of report designer extension in Visual Studio 2017

Hi,

To edit a SSRS report (in VS 2017) in designer, we need report designer extension. In this post, we will view the installation steps.

Step 1: On trying to edit a SSRS report (with precision design), we will get a prompt to download and install RDLC designer extension.

Step 2: On clicking Yes, we will be re-directed to required extension. 

Step 3: On Clicking download button, installation gets started and close Visual Studio during the process.

Step 4: Installation process continues.

Step 5: Microsoft RDLC report designer extension gets installed.
