The Store Commerce app for windows is a technology upgrade to the existing Modern point of sale (MPOS). The new Store Commerce app includes the following benefits:

  • Better performance
  • Easier updates
  • Better long-term framework support in Windows and Azure DevOps
  • Reduced operational overhead and maintenance cost by eliminating the need to repackage the app with each update.
  • Store Commerce provides the benefits of both MPOS and CPOS.
  • Offline deployment is supported
  • Store Commerce is a Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) shell application for Windows that uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 control to render the CPOS application. Although CPOS can run only in a web browser, Store Commerce can run as a native Windows application such as MPOS.

The app is now available with the 10.0.25 release and can be downloaded via the LCS shared asset library.
