How to Remove an Entity from Quick Create in Microsoft Dynamics 365

Quick create forms are used to create new records by inputting only the basic information to “quickly” create it.

In some cases, users will prefer to always go directly to the full form rather than the Quick Create version. There is a simple way to turn this feature on and off for each entity.

Follow these steps to turn on and off Quick Create as you please:

  1. In Dynamics CRM, from the gear icon navigate to Advanced Settings > Settings > Customizations and click on “Customize the System”.

  2. Within the default solution, expand “Entities” and click on the name of the entity you want to turn this feature on or off for. In this example, the “Account” entity is selected. If you are working in a Sandbox org, you can create a new solution and include these changes in that solution for export to Production.
  3. Scroll down and locate the checkbox for Allow quick create in the Data Services section. You can check the box to turn it on or uncheck the box to turn it off.
