Galyna Fedorova Profile Picture Galyna Fedorova 3,566

This scenario presents a solution in support of a process where orders are sourced from the same customer. The shipments containing the items are to be merged or consolidated to save transportation costs.

In this blogpost we are going to create two sales orders for the same customer. Since we are going to ship them at once, we will consolidate those shipments.

Let’s create sales orders.

Sales orders

Next, we will release them both by navigating to Warehouse tab > Release to warehouse.

Release Sales orders

Now as they both Released, we can consolidate them.

Released status of the Sales orders

Navigate to Warehouse management > Shipments > All shipments.

Highlight the first one and click Consolidate shipment button.

Consolidate shipments

Highlight the shipment that you would like to add and click OK button.

Shipment to add

If you look at the shipment, you will notice that two orders are within the same shipment. Pay attention to the Load details section.
