Welcome to my next blog on creating a new Financial Dimension or enabling a license key and activating it by enabling the maintenance mode into the Sandbox environment.

Business Scenario

There can multiple scenarios, such examples are as follows~

1. We are working on an implementation project and as per the requirement, new Financial Dimensions will be created, however to activate the same, we need to enable the maintenance mode in the environment.
2. Some localization license key needs to be enabled from system admin->> License configuration form, however until the maintenance mode is enabled, the key cannot ne enabled

Scenario 1-  The below error comes while activating Financial dimensions

Scenario 2-  The below error comes while activating the license key

For both the cases, we need to put the environment into the Maintenance mode

Lets explore, how we can do this, also this activity needs to be done outside of business hours

Login to LCS portal and open the project

Now we are in the home page, where we can see the environments tab out there, see below

From there, select the Sandbox on which we created the new dimension/s->> Select “Full details” marked in red below

From the Maintain action pane, “Enable maintenance mode”, the pop will appear in screen as follows->> Click yes

Next step is to wait for couple of minutes/Hour to enable the “maintenance mode”, during this waiting time, the selected environment won’t be available

After some time, the maintenance mode will be enabled and in LCS the pop will come up, marked in red below

Now, we can activate the Financial Dimensions or License key in the environment

System will take sometime to activate the dimension, and its done

Now, once the activity is done-> we need to disable the maintenance mode by the same way

Navigate to Environments tab- Full details- Maintain->> Disable Maintenance mode

Again this will take few minutes/hour to disable the Maintenance mode

Once disabled, the status will be “Deployed” and user can access and work on the environment\
