Hello and welcome to my next blog in which I am going to give overview about different personalization features added by Microsoft and how best we can utilize them.

Prerequisites: Enable features from feature management workspace

I will explain three utilization for this feature which will really help end users and make their work smooth.

  1. Create your own view of any screen/form

Using this you can create your own view of screen and save it. Dynamics not only allows you to create multiple views but also it allows you to publish to all other legal entities and users, so that you can control different views for ease of access centrally.

Example: Let us say I want to see one view for all open PO’s

Step-1: Open the form, all purchase orders > Apply required filter (Open Order)

Step-2: Click on My View > Click Save As > Enter Name

Step-3: Publish and Manage, if require, Click on View > Publish > Select Entities to which you want to publish

  1. Copy Paste data from Excel to Journal Lines

This is the best one any end user will love it; this allow you to copy date from excel spread sheet and paste it to Dynamics screen. Best example for this is copy journal lines from excel and paste to any journal.

Step-1: Open any journal Line

Step-2: Open Excel spread sheet which has data

Step-3: Copy and paste to journal line > Save

  1. Group records and see total on inquiries form

This is another awesome one, this allows you to group inquiry form by any column and allow you to create total for the same. This can be utilized to have quick analysis on the screen itself. Few Examples of the same will be:

  1. Analyzing Voucher transactions by main account grouping

Let us you want to see total by each main account on Voucher transaction. So, you can right click on Main account > Select Group by Column

Right click on any amount column > Add total to this column

Now we can see total of each main account transactions with grouping.

  1. Analyzing Inventory transactions by Site/Warehouse

Similarly, let’s say user wants to see total of inventory for all items by sites. So, follow same steps for the same for inventory transactions.

That is it for this blog, hope fully this will defiantly make your end user happy with such user-friendly options.

Thank you for reading!!! Keep sharing with your network, I will be back next week with one more blog.
