Central Maintenance and Welding Inc. (CMW) was looking for a way to transition its accounts payable (AP) and paper-based account receivables (AR) functions from 100% paper-based to 100% paperless.
Leonard Bethea, CMW's IT director, said by introducing standard operating procedures and moving its procure-to-pay process (P2P) from paper-based to paperless the company would operate more efficiently and accurately and as well as save money.
Bethea said he also saw an opportunity to integrate the automated P2P process with CMW's Microsoft Dynamics GP solution to generate real return on CMW's ERP investment.
