In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, users get access to different parts of the system through permission sets. These permission sets define what a user can read, modify, delete, or execute.
Previously, checking permissions could be difficult because:
Permissions were spread across multiple apps and extensions
Admins had to open many pages to understand who has access to what
The new Permissions Overview page solves this by giving one centralized view of all permissions.
What the Permissions Overview Page Provides
Unified view of permissions from all installed apps and extensions
Ability to filter permissions by object, scope, extension, or permission set to quickly locate specific access rights
Option to identify which permission sets grant access to a specific object (for example, which permission sets allow users to modify customer records)
Fact Boxes that display which security groups and users are assigned to each permission set
With this centralized view, administrators can more easily analyze permission dependencies, perform security audits, and troubleshoot access issues without navigating through multiple pages or extensions.
Thanks For Reading…!!
Regards,
