Broadcasting Downtime Message to end users for the deployment or software Upgrade of MSD365 F&O

Welcome to my next blog on Broadcasting message to all end users for the next schedule downtime notification into the environment
Business Scenario
We are preparing for the next software deployment or system upgrade in couple of days, and to avoid last minute surprise, its best to notify end users for the scheduled downtime notification into the environment, by this way end users can save their work and log off before the downtime starts
Lets explore
Login to LCS portal and open the LCS project
If the deployment is in Sandbox environment, then select the correct environment from “Environments” section and then “Full details”
Or if the deployment is in Cloud-Hosted Environments (VM) then From header section select the “Cloud-hosted environments” and then select the correct environment->> Full details
Now by the aforementioned way, we should be in the full details form
From “Maintain” action pane->> Select “Message Online Users”
A new window will come, from there select “Broadcast a new message for downtime”
Select the “Message Valid from” and “Message valid to (servicing start time)
Once selected the time, lets post,
The pop up will appear, how the message will be shown into the system to the end users->> Select Yes
The message is sent to the users, the confirmation pop up will come, select ‘OK’
Now lets open the system- we can see the broadcast message which we have selected, this is visible for all end users
This text will be shown to the users to remind them about the downtime
