Application Version 10.0.25 Feature Summary

Application version 10.0.25 will be generally available as of March 18, 2022. This release is the major release for 2022 release wave 1. For a listing of all KBs included in this release, you can find the list here.

There are three new 10.0.25 features that will be on by default. There are also many previously released features that are now automatically enabled as part of the end of wave release. Be sure to check your business scenarios in these areas thoroughly to ensure there is no unexpected change in behavior. You will also see a major visual change in workspaces, as a new vertical pattern was applied to most Microsoft published workspaces.

 

Below are 10.0.25 features under the new tab in feature management. 10.0.25 features have an added date of 2/7/2022.

By enabling this feature a customer disables matching purchase invoice quantity with Bill of entry quantity upon invoice creation in cases when that invoice was created from Bill of Entry. Enabling this feature with three-way matching requires manually match invoice with product receipts by clicking "Match product receipts" button.

Lock the main account type and validate the offset account type in payment journals for customers and vendors

This feature will restrict the account type and offset account type on Customer payment journal and Vendor payment journal.

Reverse reconciled advanced bank reconciliation

When enabled, button "Reverse reconciliation" is visible on "Bank reconciliation" and "Bank reconciliation worksheet" forms. The button allows to reverse reconciled advanced bank reconciliation.

(Preview) Global inventory accounting

The Global inventory accounting for Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management facilitates accounting of inventory in multiple ledgers, enabling dual currency and dual valuation. This feature is not for production use and is subject to the same terms of use described in the "Supplemental Terms of Use for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Previews" (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2105274).

Mileage totals calculation by fiscal year

This feature enables a new setting under Expense management parameters, to perform mileage totals calculation by fiscal year, instead of calendar year. Enabling the setting will only affect future posted mileage expenses. Past balances will not be recalculated.

Awareness between ledger settlement and year-end close

When you enable this feature, two primary changes will be made to ensure a tighter dependency between the ledger settlement and year-end close processes. First, ledger settled transactions will be excluded from the Opening balances of the next fiscal year when running the year-end close. This will ensure that only unsettled beginning balance transactions are eligible for foreign currency revaluation in the next fiscal year. Because ledger settled transactions are excluded from the year-end close, ledger settlement can’t be done across different main accounts, or across fiscal years. Second, this feature also provides the option to keep transaction details in the Opening balances for balance sheet accounts identified for ledger settlement in General ledger parameters. If selecting to maintain detail for a main account, the unsettled transactions remain in the fiscal year being closed. A copy of each detailed, unsettled transactions will be created as a beginning balance transaction in the new fiscal year. Information such as the ledger accounts, amounts, and description will be copied to the new detailed transactions and posted as Opening balances. Please read the attached documentation for information on best practices for enabling this feature. We recommend settling all marked transactions before enabling this feature. When the feature is enabled, all marked transactions for all legal entities will be unmarked automatically. This feature cannot be enabled if using the Public sector year-end close process.

This feature makes it faster and easier to view, approve, and firm planned orders. It adds a page called "Planned orders simplified", which is a simplified version of the standard "Planned orders" page. The simplified page provides fewer options but is faster to work with when all you need to do is review, approve, and firm your planned orders.

(Russia) Allow using the ER framework for post-processing of reports in Excel and Word formats

Enabling this feature will change the behavior for several reports in Russian localization that generate accounting documents in Microsoft Office formats (Excel and Word). When this feature is enabled, the Electronic reporting (ER) framework is used for post-processing of generated documents which allows you to show the file, to store it in configured destination, or to show the report on the screen, etc. For several reports for which you can configure File destination in the Print management framework, the post-processing is activated when you print the report using Print management, if you enable File destination in the Print management framework. For several other reports that cannot be configured in the Print management framework, the post-processing is activated when you print the report. You can find the list of reports and more details in the documentation.

Accelerate the ER labels storage

When you import an Electronic reporting (ER) configuration to your Finance application, residing in this configuration labels are stored in application database. Enable this feature to start using a new schema for storing labels that was designed to accelerate labels access at configurations editing and execution for performance improvement. Note that after this feature enabling only labels of newly created or imported configurations will be stored by using the new schema. After feature enabling, run the conversion procedure to start using the new labels storing schema for earlier created or imported configurations. When this feature is disabled, the original storing schema will be used for storing labels of ER configurations.

Reduce memory usage in ER when records grouping is only used to compute aggregations

When you configure an Electronic reporting (ER) data source of the GROUPBY type to group a list of records by certain criteria, this data source exposes by default for every computed group the grouping criteria, computed aggregations, and records that belong to this group. Enable this feature to reduce consumption of application server memory by suppressing storage of records that belong to groups of the GROUPBY data source when those records are not used.

The feature provides the possibility to run the Electronic reporting (ER) framework model mapping for importing manually uploaded documents in batch.

Consolidate multiple purchase requisitions into a single purchase order by accounting date

This feature allows for the consolidation of multiple purchase requisitions into a single purchase order if the different purchase requisitions have different accounting dates. Purchase order creation and demand consolidation purchasing policy rule can be setup to drive the decision for grouping requisition lines by accounting date on purchase order level automatically. Warning! Purchase order consolidation by accounting date is not supported if budget control is enabled because the accounting date is used for budget reservations and encumbrance. Therefore, it should be retained during the transition from purchase requisition to purchase order.

This Accounting Distribution Form feature disables the Reset button on the form only for Purchase Requisitions that are in review.

Display legacy default RFQ reply field settings

This feature reintroduces the legacy default request for quotation (RFQ) reply field settings, which were previously removed from the user interface. These settings don't provide any functionality out of the box, but can be customized to provide it as required. Enable this feature if your organization has already added functionality for the default RFQ reply field settings or is planning to. When this feature is enabled, you can access the settings by going to the "Procurement and sourcing parameters" page, opening the "Request for quotation" tab, and selecting "Default request for quotation reply fields".

Merge financial dimensions from the vendor with active dimension link financial dimension on the purchase order

This feature allows for the merge financial dimensions from the vendor with active dimension link financial dimension after purchase requisition approval if you set up a link between a financial dimension and the site inventory dimension. Purchase order creation and demand consolidation purchasing policy rule can be setup to drive the decision for merging financial dimensions from vendor with active dimension link financial dimension on purchase order header level.

(Preview) Register material consumption on the production floor execution interface (WMS-enabled)

This feature enables workers to use the production floor execution interface to register material consumption, batch numbers, and serial numbers. This feature only supports items that are enabled to use advanced warehouse processes (WMS). Some manufacturers, especially those within the process industries, need to explicitly register the amount of material consumed for each batch or production order. For example, workers might use a scale to weigh the amount of material consumed as they work. To ensure full material traceability, these organizations also need to register which batch numbers were consumed when producing each product.

Enable default location setup for production formula/BOM and automatic GTD reservation/consumption in production

The feature enables additional options for production from imported raw materials (Russian localization only): The possibility to set the automatic default location for production Formula/BOM 1. on Resource groups 2. on Warehouse. Automatic reservation of raw materials by ‘GTD number’ dimension at WMS-activated warehouse according to non-WMS reservation algorithm, in case Work policy for ‘Raw material picking’ exists with ‘Work creation method’=’Never’ and Warehouse/Location/Item number setup matches the inventory transactions of the Production (Batch) Order. Automatic consumption of raw materials by ‘GTD number’ dimension upon ‘Picking list’ posting, according to the acquired reservation described above.

This feature replaces original Project invoice proposal and invoice journal with the new forms using header and lines view. In the Header view user can review header level project invoice financial dimensions. If Allow updates to project dimensions for accounts receivable is turned on in the Project management and accounting parameters form, header level dimensions can be updated for customer balance posting.

(Mexico) Discount adjusting in Retail CFDI Global

This feature impacts the CFDI Global functionality that is specific to Mexico. It allows enabling discount adjustment in accordance with accounting rules while posting electronic invoices.

Additional filter options in POS inventory operations

Enabling this feature adds additional filter options (including order number, product number, product name, status, etc.) in the POS inventory operations (Inbound inventory, Outbound inventory, Inventory adjustment, Inventory movement, Stock count) to ease POS users to quickly locate inventory documents or product lines.

Compress Payment Tokens

When enabled, this feature will use compression to efficiently store payment property tokens, maintaining a lower footprint on underlying storage tables.

Direct fiscal integration from POS registers

The feature extends the fiscal integration framework by adding a capability to create fiscal connectors that will be executed in POS. This type of connector will communicate with a fiscal device or service that provides an HTTP API and will not require a dedicated physical machine in the store to be plugged in or deployed on. This functionality, for example, enables fiscal integration for mobile devices with no shared hardware station required.

This feature allows expanding the configuration of fiscal integration. When this feature is enabled, you can override parameters of technical profile.

This feature allows filters and sorts to be saved to views on Task Single and Task Double pages. These are pages with older interfaces that allow you to show and edit data for a single entity and parent/child entities, respectively.

This feature adds view support for dialogs, notably the ability to save multiple dialog views and publish those views to users.

This feature adds view support for workspace forms, notably the ability to save multiple workspace views and publish those views to users. With this change, when users add tiles, lists, or links to a workspace, they will also need to select the target workspaces views the content should be added to.

Allow the editing of the sales tax adjustment when modifying lines in the return order or credit note. 

This feature enables the editing of the sales tax adjustment when modifying lines in the return order or credit note. If this feature is not enabled, users must manually clean up the sales tax adjustment before they could edit a line in the return order or credit note.

Bring forward sales tax transaction from sales invoice as tax adjustment in return order and credit note. 

This feature extends the sales tax calculation functionality for return order and credit note. For a return order/credit note, the actual sales tax of the returned item should be the same as the original sales tax which is charged on the sales invoice. Enable this feature to bring forward the original sales tax transactions from the sales invoice to the return order/credit note as tax adjustments to ensure the same amount be returned. Please notice that to edit the return order or credit note line that brings the tax adjustment from the original sales order, the feature "Allow the editing of the sales tax adjustment when modifying lines in the return order or credit note" has to be enabled.

When you enable this feature, the lines of Intrastat journal that are included in the Intrastat file when you select Report > Output, are stored in the Intrastat archive.

Sales tax settlement and reporting by date of VAT register

This feature enables the possibility to settle and report sales tax by the date of VAT register.

Disable expected receipts from quality orders that sample blocked inventory

This feature prevents the system from creating expected receipt transactions for quality orders that sample inventory with a blocking status. Because the blocked inventory isn't available, this feature removes the expected receipts. This helps make sure that inventory doesn't end with multiple blocking statuses, which can result in data integrity issues.

Hazardous materials enhancements

This feature adds several enhancement to the hazardous materials functionality. It lets you specify the flash point for specific items; enter a default emergency response (printed on bills of lading and multimodal dangerous goods declarations when no specific emergency response code is defined); enter a global description for non-hazardous materials (printed on carriage of merchandise by road reports); and record the container ID for load details, shipment details, appointment details, driver check-in, and driver check-out.

Packing work for packing stations

This feature adds a new work order type called "packing", which is optimized for managing work at packing stations. Packing work orders store links to each related load line, which enable workers to pack and ship partial loads. For locations configured to use this feature, the system will generate a new packing work order each time items are delivered to a packing station.
