When using Microsoft Dynamics CRM it is important to make sure that the information you see is relevant to you.
After all, if you don’t understand the information that is being displayed to you, it won’t produce positive, effective results for you. By having relevant information displayed on your dashboard in Dynamics CRM you can see the data in a chart, list, web resource or iframe to make sure you are on top of all the activities in CRM that are most important to you.
This is an especially important feature when there is so much data available in CRM, making sure you are viewing the information that you need to can improve your efficiency and accelerate your process in CRM.
Below we show you how to go into Microsoft Dynamics CRM and personalize your own dashboard.
To start creating your personal dashboard:
- Go to the view that you are interested in creating a personal dashboard for and select the new button in the top left corner.
- A “Choose Layout” dialog box will pop up that will allow you to select the format you would like for your dashboard. After selecting the layout go ahead and click create.
- First thing you are going to want to do is to enter a name for this dashboard and then click save. This has now saved the name and put it under the My Dashboards section in your CRM
- Next, select the first section that you would like to begin creating a view and select the format in which you want to display your data. You have two ways to select the format and four choices for the format.
- Finally, just go ahead and create each section with the data that you are looking to see and click save and then close. You will now be able to select your view from the pick list in the drop down.
