Power Platform | MSIgnite 2020 Day 1 Recap

Hope you enjoyed watching Microsoft´s Ignite 2020 keynote. Even though virtual only this year, the amount of announcements compared to previous years didn´t slow down. As Satya outlined, Tech intensity will determine not only what organizations can weather the current crisis but also determine that they are prepared to navigate future tail events.

So, time to (re)think how to upskill and quickly benefit from those new capabilities that might be of current/future interest during pandemic times.

Lucky us, even due this special time, a SaaS world can be approached easily and without risk or harm of COVID-19. Well maybe the risk of being impressed of what is offered, especially if you´re new to this, but that is a different story.

As a #PowerAddict focusing on the Power Platform, there´s certainly more than only the icons that have been introduced today to represent the main four key pillars of the Power Platform.

Just to familiarize yourself with the main announcements of day one, please find this links combined for easy access for you.

As reading is only one part of the game, ensure to sign-up for a trial and explore those capabilities on your own if you don´t have access to it via your company. There´s a huge #PowerAddicts, #PowerBI and #FlowFam community that is here to help and easy to reach out to via social media.

If you´re more into learning via watching, ensure to review the individual sessions from Ignite on demand or use YouTube and search for any of following keywords

Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agent, Power BI, Power Platform, Common Data Service, AI Builder,…

You will find tons of content to watch and learn from, promised.

If you´re coming from a developer background like me, you´ll love the new features that have been added for us to bring Power Platform and Azure closer together and ensure us working closer via Microsoft Teams, collaborate, meet and discuss on next generation apps.

On the go or via desktop experience – doesn´t matter. As outlined in my last article Design Thinking sessions running virtually via Microsoft Teams is a perfect way of building your apps of future and make your work easier.

Now it´s time for us to dive into the details and enjoy the deep dive sessions with James Phillips, Charles Lamanna, Ryan Cunningham, Tulsi Keshkamat, Stephen Siciliano, Ashvini Sharma, Marc Mercuri, Ryan Jones and more SMEs.

And don´t miss the opportunity to hang out with your Community in one of the Digital Breakout sessions during Ignite. Looking forward to get even more insights shared during Microsoft Ignite Day 2. Until then…
