Setting Snap-to-Grid feature in Dynamics SL

This is simple feature but developers may not aware of this Snap-to-Grid feature. Developers may be faced different problems during standard screen customization. One main difficult that everyone faced is dragging objects or resizing objects with in the grid.

While moving or resizing objects, set snap-to-grid so that the objects automatically align with each other when you use the mouse to move or resize them. This ensures a more professional looking screen.

To set the snap-to-grid:

1.Open the standard screen and Click the Action from menu bar

2.Choose Customize Mode or press (CTRL+ALT+C).

3.Click the Customize from the menu bar and select the Customize options.

4.Customization Options pop screen opens up

5.By default Align Objects to grid should be in unchecked. Select Align Objects to Grid so the upper left corner of each object you drag will line up with a dot on the grid. This setting only affects objects that you drag or create during this session; it does not rearrange existing objects on the application screen.
