Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2: Increase Dynamics GP Password Maximum length

You asked for it and now it's a reality...….We have increased the maximum length for a user's password to be 21 characters, an increase from the previous 15 characters, for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2.

**There are other areas of the system where passwords still have the 15 character limit such as eConnect, Management Reporter, Workflow Setup, etc.**

This will allow more complexity with GP user passwords with the additional characters being allowed, in order to add more security to your Microsoft Dynamics GP environment.

Hi Derek, I know this is old news, but I have a customer that wanted to enforce the new password length of 21 characters to all of their users and it turned out to be a problem within Management Reporter 2012 (latest CU16) when using the Legacy Connector.. When prompted for the GP credentials, the authentication fails if the pwd is more than 15 chars long..
